Front Porch
The covered porch measures 22’ by 8’ and the floor is covered with cream porcelain tile. There is a porch swing, a park bench, an Adirondack chair, and a glider. Ferns, fuchsias and other low light-requiring plants do quite well. This is also a great place to observe the many species of birds, including Turkeys, Cardinals, Robins, Chickadees, Woodpeckers, Finches, and Hummingbirds.
The entry measures approximately 14’ by 16’ and has a 19’ ceiling with 2 skylights. The floor is ceramic. The solid oak staircase has 16 steps that are 4’ wide and an oak railing. There is a guest closet that measures 4’ by 2’ and has a single wooden bifold door. There are also 2 additional closets in the hallway that measure 5’ by 2’ and both have double wooden bifold doors.
Foyer
Kitchen
The kitchen has an octagonal dinette with floor-to-ceiling windows. The kitchen measures 24’ at its longest and 22’ at its widest. The kitchen has a 9’ ceiling with 10 can-lights and one chandelier. There are 9 wall cabinets and one wine rack. There are 11 base cabinets and a food storage pantry. There is lighting above and below each wall cabinet. The backsplash is ceramic on all three walls. The floor is ceramic. The appliances are all stainless steel. The countertops are Verdi granite. The central island has electric stove top heating. In Winter, the octagonal gazebo can be viewed from the window.
Dinning room
The dining room measures approximately 25’ x 15’ with a 10-foot ceiling. There is 3-piece cove crown molding. It is sunken 2-6” steps lower than the kitchen. The floor is random-length and width 3/4” oak with an oil finish. The furniture is from The Thomasville Renaissance Dining Room Collection. It is made from solid oak in a creamy white “stucco” finish. It has a distressed look. There are 8 chairs, 2 captains, and the Breakfront China. The dining room table measures 109” x 46” and has an inlaid pattern. Photos are available upon request. The chandelier is a James R Moder Crystal Chandelier and a family heirloom. James R Moder’s signature is one facet of the crystal ball. The indelibly etched James R Moder Trademark on the ball certifies that it is an original James R Moder Crystal Chandelier. The room has a 9’ French door unit with a transom on the South side, allowing abundant sunlight to flow in.
Decks
There are four decks at the rear of the home, spanning its entire length. One is located off the Master Bedroom, while another is accessed from the kitchen, where the gas grill is situated. The grill is connected to the home’s gas supply, eliminating the need for propane. These decks feature built-in seating and flower boxes, offering a shady and private space to relax day or night. The views of the woods are stunning, particularly in Fall, Spring, and after a Winter storm.
Great Room
The Great Room is sunken by 2-6” steps and is accessible from both the kitchen and the entry. It measures 30’ by 15’ and features a double cathedral ceiling with a fan, reaching a height of 16’. A massive stone fireplace with an automatic gas light and raised hearth with a limestone cap serves as the room’s focal point. The South end of the room includes a 9’ French door unit with a transom, allowing abundant sunlight and providing access to a large deck. The flooring is random-length 3/4” oak.
Office
The office is a cozy space for work or private relaxation, measuring approximately 10’ by 13’ with a 9’ ceiling. It includes a wall TV and a beautiful Heckman office desk with a 62” granite top. Located at the front of the home, the office allows for a clear view of guests and deliveries upon arrival. The atmosphere is soft and comfortable, with birch wainscoted walls and 3-piece cove crown molding. A French door with glass panels and a security combination lock completes the space. The floor is carpeted.
Powder Room
The room is located just off the entry, close to the kitchen and directly besides the office. Th dimensions are approximately 8' by 8' and it has a 9' ceiling.
